You’ve got two chances to see
the Ole Miss volleyball team here in Oxford this weekend. It starts on Friday
night when they welcome the Florida Gators in town. The Rebs are looking
to once again find a winning
formula in the midst of a tough portion
of their schedule. Ole Miss is trying to pull out of a five match losing streak, with three of those
matches going the distance. In order to get
things turned around, they’ll need a pair of
seniors to stay hot. Nayo Warnell continued
a career season with another personal best
on the road at Tuscaloosa. Warnell tallied 16
kills against the Tide and did it on a 5-19 hitting
clip, as she continues to be one of the leaders in
hit percentage in the SEC. Leah Mulkey has provided
a much needed spark to the Rebel offense. The Austin, Texas
native had a season high 14 kills in the last match. She’s averaging double figures over Ole Miss’ last
three contests. The Rebels have two
matches on the weekend, but all of their focus is
set on the Florida match in their first game. The Gators have lost
just three times this season and are
9 and 1 in the SEC. Two matches at
Gillom this weekend. Friday at 6:30 against Florida. And then again on Sunday
at 1:30 when Ole Miss takes on South Carolina. Both matches are streaming live on the SEC network
Plus with the ESPN app if you can’t attend. And as always, you can keep up with updates, news and
