Welcome! This is a quick tutorial about how to take pictures of those brightly-lit hula hoops at night. You should be able to get great pictures on your first night out, as long as you follow a few simple guidelines. You’ll want to put the camera on a tripod that has a moving head because you’re going to want to pan the camera, which is moving it back and forth and you’re going to want to tilt the camera, which is moving it up and down Use a zoom lens if you have one because you’ll want to be able to zoom in and out. Your shutter speed should be set to “Bulb.” That lets you hold the shutter down as long as you need to to get the shot. It really helps to have a remote shutter, otherwise just place your finger on the shutter button until you’ve completed your shot. You’ll want to keep your ISO at 100. On my camera, the minimum ISO setting is 200, rather than 100, so my aperture is going to be set a little bit wider than perhaps yours might be. I’d recommend setting your camera at F 11 to start with, and then move it up and down, depending on the available light, and how your pictures are coming out. Thanks for watching and if you have any questions please leave them in the comments below. Happy shooting!
